William “Billy” Ray Taylor

William “Billy” Ray Taylor, age 38, departed this life on March 3, 2021. He was born to parents, Marty Taylor and Teresa Reeves Taylor on August 24, 1982 in Corbin, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife, Allison Oglesby Taylor; two sons, Gabe Taylor and Gunnar Taylor; one daughter, Alera Taylor; his parents, Teresa Taylor, Marty Taylor, and step-mother Saundra Taylor; two brothers, Joey Taylor and Justin Wright; three sisters, Amy Mallett and husband Neil, Megan Pridemore and husband Adam, and Madison “Ryder” Taylor; grandmother, Linda Ely Baker and grandfather, Donald C. Taylor; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Billy enjoyed his occupation as a restaurant manager, where he excelled. He was an avid pool player who enjoyed playing in tournaments, and he enjoyed golfing. He was a devoted husband, son, friend, and father who loved spending time with his boys, especially four wheeling, and caring for his baby girl.

Funeral service was held at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home on Monday, March 8, with Rev. Billy Evans officiating. Burial followed in Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky, with Justin Whited, Charles Greene, Tyler Fries, Richard Hammons, Josh Baker, and Travis Farris serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to assist with funeral expenses.
