Verlin “Byrd”Jeffers, 82, of Lafollette, TN passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at his home.
He was born March 13, 1936 in Whistle Creek, TN.
Verlin was preceded in death by his wife: Charlene Lambert Jeffers; son, Ted Reyonlds; parents, Horace and Susan Rains Jeffers; brothers, Earl, Don, Herman and Vernon Jeffers.
He is survived by sons, Ray Jeffers, Dan Jeffers, Joe Jeffers, Jeff Jeffers; daughters, Sharon Mesa, Marcia Aly, Pamela Pierre; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Jeffers, Dale Jeffers; sister, Ruby Blankenship; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
The funeral was held Monday, October 29 at the Harp Funeral Home with Pastor, Kevin Pires officiating.
Burial followed in the Douglas Cemetery.
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
