Regular season competition between 50th District opponents continued Tuesday night with a pair of double headers in Corbin and London as the Redhounds and Lady Hounds played host to Whitley County and the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets and Lady Jackets traveled to South Laurel.
South was dominant in both games against the Jackets, with the Lady Cards winning, 92-19, and the Cardinal boys winning, 79-12. The losses keep both Williamsburg squads winless in district play, but they will hope to have a better showing next Tuesday, Jan. 27, when they host Corbin in another double header.
The Corbin Lady Hounds improved their overall record to 9-6 Tuesday evening with a 60-42 victory over Whitley County. With the win, their district record improves to 2-1. The Lady Colonels, meanwhile, fall to 7-9, 1-2.
The Corbin girls will play in game one of the previously mentioned double header at Williamsburg High School next Tuesday. Whitley will be in action at South Laurel on the same night.
