Corbin man killed in Sunday crash in Laurel County

A Corbin man was one of two people killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in Laurel County. Officials from two cities say move to privatize garbage service worked well

City officials in Berea and Cynthiana agree that contracting out their garbage pickup was the right decision.

Cynthiana in Harrison County is a town similar to Corbin with approximately 6,200 residents.

In 2009, the Cynthiana City Commission elected to contract out the city’s garbage service.
