Siler picked to be Whitley County’s next superintendent

The Whitley County Board of Education has selected its next superintendent and he is someone with lifelong ties to the school district.

John Siler has been selected to replace outgoing Whitley County Superintendent Scott Paul.

During a special called meeting Tuesday, the board interviewed the two finalists for over an hour, and then met in regular session and voted to hire Assistant Superintendent John Siler as its new superintendent.

Siler said that it is an honor to be picked to serve as the next superintendent of the district.
