Shoulder, lane closures scheduled for I-75 in Whitley County beginning Monday

Date:

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said a portion of Interstate 75 in Whitley County will undergo shoulder and right lane closures beginning Monday and continuing through Friday.

Officials noted that the area will include the shoulders at mile points 15 through 21 on northbound I-75 and the right lane on southbound I-75 between mile points 18 and 11.

Officials said the shoulder areas will be closed in order to permit tree mulching while the right lane closures will permit tree cutting and removal.

The closures will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. each day.

Motorists are asked to be aware of the work zones, expect delays and use caution when traveling through the area.
