Sherry Monhollen, an empathetic soul, a dedicated partner, and an adorably funny individual, was born on June 8, 1964, in Barbourville, KY.
She passed away on February 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and resilience.
Sherry was an integral part of the Williamsburg community where she resided, known by many for her radiant smile that could light up any room.
Sherry dedicated over 30 years of her life to D&D Auto Repair, working alongside her beloved husband Darryl Monhollen and their son, Darryl Wayne.
Her dedication was not just limited to her professional life; it was the core of her essence. She was a woman of substance who believed in the power of commitment, whether it was to her job, her family, or her passions. Sherry was a force to be reckoned with, always ready with a witty comment or a funny story. Her humor was infectious, and she had a knack for making people laugh, even on their darkest days.
An adventurer at heart, Sherry had a fondness for the open road. Whether on the back of a motorcycle or in a camper, she traveled across the country, creating a tapestry of memories. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her enthusiasm for camping and fishing. These were the moments she cherished, surrounded by nature and the laughter of her loved ones.
Sherry was a beloved wife of Darryl Monhollen for over 46 years and a caring mother to Darryl Wayne (Pam) Monhollen. She was a proud grandmother to Ryan, Kelsi, and Kyli Monhollen. She is also survived by her siblings, Marlene (Harold) Lambdin, Sandra (Bernie) Smallwood, Charlie (Karen) Senters, Donnie Senters, and Leon (Renee) Senters; and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Bonnie Senters, and her siblings, Gloria Mason, Geraldine Lambdin, Rowina Grubb, and Ronnie Senters.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 27 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Croley Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday, February 28 at Croley Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Jordan-Monhollen Family Cemetery on Deep Branch Road in Williamsburg.
