Ray Hollingsworth, 60, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday Nov 7, 2018 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was born in Corbin, a son to the late Arnold Hollingsworth and Linda Parker Hollingsworth.
He was a Lieutenant and Engineer with the West Knox Volunteer Fire Department where he served for over 13 years. In 2011 he was named “Firefighter of the Year.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Hollingsworth.
Ray is survived by his wife, Joella Hollingsworth; children, Darrell Hutton, Erica Lunsford, Michael Hollingsworth, Sherrie Hollingsworth, and Edwin Willis; grandchildren, Chasity and Chase Hutton; Jeremy, Candace, Meghan, Kennedy and Trinity Lunsford; Bella Patterson, and Haylea Smith; brother, Sam Samples; sister Roseann Brown; and by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral service for Ray Hollingsworth was held Saturday, November 10, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Hutton, Darryl Baker, and Michael Hollingsworth officiating.
Burial followed in the Brown-Mullins Cemetery with graveside honors by the West Knox Fire Department and surrounding Fire Departments.
