Norma Jean Rains

Norma Jean Rains, 90, of Williamsburg, passed away Sunday January 22, 2017 at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 12, 1926 in Williamsburg, to the late Richard Ellison and Elizabeth Jones Ellison.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Rains and a son Eddie Rains. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Wood-McPherson Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter Sherrill Gambrel of Williamsburg, two grandchildren Angela Radabaugh (John) of  St. Charles, IL, Eddie Paul Rains (Tammy) of Valdosta, GA; six great grandchildren Aidan Radabaugh, Avery Radabaugh and Connor Radabaugh, Kayla Blanton (Bobby), Tiffany Rains and Kristopher Rains, several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 28, until the funeral hour of 3 p.m. at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ande Myers officiating.

Interment will be private.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Paul Rains, John Radabaugh, Bobby Blanton. Honorary pallbearers will be the Wood-McPherson Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the bereavement fund at First Baptist Church of Williamsburg.
