Michael McCarthy, 68 of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away Thursday December 1, 2016 at his home.
He was born April 24, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Gerard McCarthy and the late Anne Malloy McCarthy.
Michael was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin and friend. Before leaving the workforce, he was also a highly respected businessman, but the greatest of all his accomplishments, the role he took most seriously, was that of being a grandparent. It can be said without reservations by all who knew him that he was the best papa any child could hope for.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Cupp McCarthy, children Jennifer McCarthy Kee, Paul Nelson (Charissa) and Richard Vickers, grandchildren Austin Vickers (Jadya, Sierra), Brittney Kee, Jazmine Johnson, Emma Kee, Reagan Nelson and Jordan Nelson, 3 sisters Maureen McCarthy, Patricia Andronica (Bruce), Anne Regina Cirenza (Michael) 1 brother Gerard X. McCarthy (Lisa) many loving nieces and nephews who never failed to bring a smile to his face and joy to his heart, daughter-in-law Lynn Johnson and son-in-law Matt Kee
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Ellison Funeral Home with Rev. Dillard Cupp officiating.
Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Slusher Cemetery.
