Mega Lung raises vaping awareness

Date:

Baptist Health Corbin partnered with the Whitley County Health Department and the Kentucky Cancer Program to bring the Mega Lung to the Corbin Middle School Friday. Students from 5-8 grades had the opportunity to participate in the anti-vaping educational program. This event was held in the Corbin Middle School Gymnasium and was open to students and school staff members. During their grade-leveled program, students had the opportunity to tour the Mega Lung exhibit, learn about the ingredients of tobacco products that can cause health concerns, and have access to informational literature. These interactive components were followed by a brief presentation that explained the dangers of vaping and how this habit can negatively affect overall health.
