0W Jeanette MillsJeanette Mills, 76, of North 6th Street, Williamsburg, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Baptist Health in Corbin.

She was born on January 22, 1940 in Rochford, England to the late George Thomas Newman and Rose Nellie (Harris) Moore.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Newman and a grandson, Paul Legate.

She was a proud member of Main Street Baptist Church.

She was awarded the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonel.  She authored a book entitled, “War, Peace and Corruption”.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Jean Mills of Williamsburg; three children, Karen Ann Gantt of Augusta, GA, Larry Gene Mills (Carol Jean) of Washington D.C. and David Legate (Gabbie) of England; four grandchildren, Taylor Mills, Adam Gantt, Ryan Gantt and Adam Legate; five great-grandchildren, Asher, Oliver, Ruby, Willow and Jude; sister, Sue Flanagan of England; brother, Jeffery Moore of England; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until the funeral hour at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 26, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Wright officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery.
