We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jason Matthew Miracle, age 41, born on March 5, 1983 in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Jason peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on October 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Jason was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, always putting his family first. He was a sweet and gentle soul. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jason’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. His testimony will continue to be shared. He was a member of Corbin Full Gospel Temple.
Jason was the beloved son of William “JR” and Wanda (Cox) Miracle and the cherished husband of Rachel (Sulfridge) Miracle. Together, they shared a loving family with six beautiful children, Noah (Maddison) Miracle, Scarlet Wilson, Addison Miracle, Abel Miracle, Gracen Miracle, and Jesse Miracle. His older sister, Heather Renee (Jason) Rose; his younger brother, Jeremy William Miracle; his nieces, Jaylin Faye (Adam) Petrey, Haley Renee Rose, Madelyn Rose, and Maggy Rose; nephew, Zachary (Rachel) Rose; mother-in-law, Diana Moore; special brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sean Hill and Floyd Blankenship, Randall (Brittany) Sulfridge and children, (Braiden, Joslyn and Layken), Jake (Tosha) Sulfridge and children, (Peyton, Bo, Rip-Casey, and Tuff), and Shanna (Will) Messer and children (LeToya, LaShae, Whitley, and Marshal); great niece and nephew, Addi Smiddy and Zachary Lee Rose; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fate and Pauline (Privett) Cox; aunts, Lisa Kay Petrey and Linda Partin Cox; father-in-law, Randy Sulfridge; and stepfather-in-law, Ted Moore.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM on Thursday, October 17, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Cox officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Miracle Family Cemetery on Feather Creek Road.
Now that Jay has passed into the arms of our Lord, his physical life on earth is over, but is the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him.
For Jason waited upon the Lord: “But they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as Eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
