Hobart and Mildred Bird celebrate Golden Anniversary

Hobart and Mildred Bird of Pleasant View celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 10, 2005 with a dinner at the Athenaeum Restaurant in the Cumberland Inn in Williamsburg given in their honor by their children.
Mr. and Mrs. Bird were married on April 10, 1955 in Jellico, Tennessee by the Rev. Puckett.
Mr. Bird is retired from Whitley County Schools where he taught for 40 years. Mrs. Bird is a housewife.
They are the parents of five children, Ruth Crowe of Ironton, Ohio, Donna Stanfill, Patrick Bird, and David Bird of Pleasant View and Patricia Creekmore of Berea. They have 13 grandchildren.
