Grover Cleveland Lynch, age 74, of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Barbourville Health and Rehab in Barbourville, Kentucky.
He was born on September 18, 1947 in Whitley City, Kentucky to the late James Harve Lynch and Lucy (Branscum) Heath. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Boyer and brother, Norman Wates.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Coach for special needs children, founder of special needs sports team, and member of Kiwanis Club in McCreary County.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Jones) Lynch of Corbin; son, Grover “Chris” Christopher Lynch of Corbin; daughter, Audrey Faith Luker of Corbin; four granddaughters, Angel Faith Lynch, Kristen Faye Lynch, Emily Grace Lynch, and Jessie Jo Luker; four brothers, Howard Lynch (Doris) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Harold Lynch of Jamestown, Kentucky, Tuley Lynch (Karen) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Wilburn Heath of Winfield, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 18, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Janus Jones officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 88 in Corbin, Kentucky.
