Williamsburg 42, Leslie Co. 13
It took Coach Jerry Heron’s Williamsburg Yellow Jackets a half of football to get the offense in gear, but a 22-point third quarter ended any hopes of an upset that Leslie County may have brought to Finley Legion Field Friday night.

The Yellow Jackets racked up 418 yards of total offense in the 42-13 victory to remain undefeated.

Skyler Griffth scored two of Williamsburg’s seven touchdowns while intercepting two passes including a potential touchdown pass in the endzone.

The Yellow Jackets will take their unbeaten record to Oneida, Tenn. next week.

Bell Co. 21, Whitley Co. 14

The Colonels shot themselves in the football a couple of times in a 21-14 loss to the #3 Bell County Bobcats. Down 14-0, the Colonels came from behind in the second behind Zack Mills, Austin Ysidro and Boston Bryant. The Bobcats, aided by a couple of crucial Whitley County penalties, scored late in the fourth quarter to get the win.

Lynn Camp 23, Pineville 14

Quarterback Aaron Mills passed for a touchdown and scored on a run up the middle as Lynn Camp beat the Pineville Mountain Lions on the road, 23-14. It was the second win for the Wildcats.

Danville 28, Corbin 21

The Redhounds didn’t go down without a fight against the #3 (Class 2A) Danville Admirals, 28-21. The game was tied 13-13 before Danville took a 28-13 lead. Corbin pulled within 28-21.

Other scores: Clay Co. 38, South Laurel 20, North Laurel 45, McCreary Central 8, Rockcastle Co. 34, Estill Co. 20, Middlesboro upset Harlan with a touchdown in the last twenty seconds of the game, 27-20; Southwestern beat Marion Co. 28-21 and Somerset downed Hazard 17-9.
