Foster Johnson

Foster Johnson, age 82, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Saxon, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charlie and Ina Carpenter Johnson. After retiring from a bakery, Foster spent much of his time as a handyman. He was known as a jack of all trades. He was also an avid hunter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Gillis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara Johnson; two brothers, Wayne and Raymond; children, Steve (Christina), Dennis (Sabine), Charlie (Eddie) and LeeAnn; grandchildren, Steven, Scott, Kirbi, Kody, Noah, Eva, Savannah, Ana Elle, Macy, Samuel, Analia, and Nailah; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Terry and Rhonda Stanton and family; and Jamey Swafford.
Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 PM on Friday, July 9, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, his memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM with Rev. Scott Wilson officiating.
