Fireworks in Corbin are only allowed on July 2-6 until midnight each night

Date:

Shooting fireworks in honor of the Fourth of July is an annual tradition for many, but if you live inside the Corbin city limits, then keep in mind that fireworks are only permitted six days out of the year and only between certain hours on those dates.

Under Corbin’s ordinance, fireworks are only permitted July 2-6 and Dec. 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight).

“Please be respectful of your neighbors, pets, and those who may be sensitive to loud noises. Illegal use of fireworks outside of the permitted dates and times may result in citations or fines. Help us keep this 4th of July safe and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation!” the Corbin Police Department wrote in a recent release.

People are also asked to be considerate of those, who are trying to sleep, veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the mental health of pets.
