Corbin Police Department hosting ‘National Night Out’ event July 26

Date:

Mark your calendars for July 26 as Corbin’s very first National Night Out event is ready to bring neighbors, kids, and local first responders together for a night of fun and food, all completely free.

Brentley Patrick, who has proudly served our community for five years as a law enforcement officer, is leading the charge to make this an annual tradition, much like Nibroc. His goal? To show kids (and grown-ups, too) that our local police and first responders are friends you can count on.

The evening promises something for everyone: a bouncy castle, tasty free food, vendor stalls to browse, and pickleball tournaments, with all proceeds going to Shop with a Cop, an incredible program that makes Christmas brighter for local children throughout the local area.

Local businesses like Shawn Rogers Realty Inc., Hometown Bank, Wallen’s Towing & Recovery, Corbin Parks and Recreation, and many others are pitching in to make the night extra special, with CSX Railway Company even donating free toys for the kids, and the bounce house usage, courtesy of All About Fun Inflatables.

Officer Patrick summed it up best by saying, “We’re hoping we can keep this going for years to come. Just get out there and have fun with our community.”

So, come on out, bring the family, meet your neighbors, and make some memories on Saturday, July 26. Festivities are set to get underway at 6 p.m. at Miller Park.

Pickleball competitions will take place throughout the day. For additional details on how to sign up, see the Corbin Police Department’s official Facebook page.
