Cheryl Parks, age 78, of Broadhead, KY, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. She was born August 27, 1947 in Lee County, VA to the late James H. and Carolyn Pea Kersey. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Kyle Kersey.
She is survived by three children, Jason Parks (Corrie) of Jellico, TN, James Parks of Williamsburg, KY, Joshua Parks (Danielle) of Oak Ridge, TN, eight grandchildren, Paige Newman (Zachary), Katelyn Parks, Mikey Parks, Isabelle Parks, Dylan Parks, Jayden Parks, Madison Parks, Addison Watts, eight great grandchildren, Prestlee Hurst, Brantlee Hurst, Harper Newman, Navee Newman, Jhett Newman, Linkan Wilson, Malcom Wilson, Theo Parks, two sisters, Carol Mullins of Boston, MA, Betsy Taylor of London, KY, one brother, Andy Kersey of Corbin, KY, several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
At the request of the family all services will be private.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Newman, Brantlee Hurst, Chris Kersey, Mikey Parks, Brendan Wilson, Mark Watts, and Dylan Parks.
