Cecil Jordan, 81, of Deep Branch Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was born on November 26, 1937 in Knox County, to the late Walter Jordan and Mattie (Mills) Jordan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Christine (Anderson) Jordan; brother, Otis Jordan; and step-brother, Jim Messer. Cecil was a member of Carpenter Baptist Church.
He is survived by two step-children, Rickie Monhollen (Jane) of Williamsburg and Darryl Monhollen (Sherry) of Williamsburg; three grandchildren, Darryl Wayne Monhollen (Pam), Rickie Allen Monhollen (Sharanda), and Sherry Salvage (Wesley); five great grandchildren, Ryan, Kelsi, Kyli, Rebecca, and Shanda; two great-great grandchildren, Hunter and Amaya; four sisters, Joyce Carter (Lannie) of Cold Port, KY Christine Vaugh of Cold Port,KY Rosie Meece (Robert) of Somerset, and Rachel Eastridge of Eton, GA; one brother, Jerry Jordan of Barbourville; special family member and fishing buddies, Harry Senters, Gary Smallwood, Otto Baker, and Greg Waddell; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral services were held Tuesday, January 8, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Waddell and Rev. Ralph Jones officiating.
Following the service he was laid to rest in the Jordan-Monhollen Family Cemetery.
