Bowling releases 2024 prosecution report

Commonwealth’s Attorney Ronnie Bowling’s office had 568 felony convictions in Whitley and McCreary counties during 2024, Bowling wrote in a recent 2024 prosecution report.

A total of 47 defendants were sentenced to prison for greater than 10 years, including: 26 defendants getting a 10-15 year prison sentence, 9 defendants getting a 15-20 year prison sentence, and 10 defendants getting a prison sentence of 20 years or greater.

“A 100 percent conviction rate on homicides, sexual assault and crimes against children. Your prosecutors had a very successful year in trials protecting our community safety!” Bowling wrote.

Bowling’s team of assistant commonwealth attorneys include: John Reynolds, Joshua Price, Joshua S. Lowe and Eric Dixon.
