It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Jo Johnson who left us on January 4, 2026.
Known for her boundless energy, infectious laughter, and unwavering love, Betty Jo’s spirit was truly larger than life.
The threads of Betty Jo’s love are woven deeply into the fabric of her family.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kimberly Wagers (David) of Rockholds, KY, Heather Minton of Corbin, KY, and Tracy Troglen (Frank) of Corbin, KY; her grandchildren, Dustin Grubb, Darren Grubb, Dylan Minton, Eli Troglen, and Erin Troglen; and her great-grandchildren, Morgan Ohara, Carson Grubb, Makenzie Grubb, and Olivia Grubb. Her two sisters, three brothers, and several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends to morn her passing.
Her life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the power of love. Betty Jo was a beacon of light for her family, guiding them with her wisdom and warming them with her love.
Betty Jo now joins those who have preceded her in death – her beloved husband, Russell Johnson; and her dear sisters, Nora Harris and Eva Snell.
Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she has left behind.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, at 6:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
The funeral service will follow on Thursday, January 8, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jerome Cox.
Interment will be at the Johnson Cemetery, located at Meadow Creek Road, Rockholds, Kentucky, at 2:30 pm.
Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
