A Whitely County dispatcher was one of several from across the Commonwealth that graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training Center on Friday, Feb. 15 at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky.
Adam Angel, a life long resident of Whitley County, successfully completed the extensive eight-week training class as required by the Department of Criminal Justice to work in Kentucky as a certified telecommunicator.
During the eight-week class students were instructed on policies and procedures used within the state of Kentucky, as well as hands on experience on the latest technologies used in 911 centers.
Adam will be assigned to the Whitley County 911 Center in Williamsburg, providing services for several agencies within the county including all the Whitley County Volunteer Fire Departments, Sheriff’s Department,Williamsburg Police Department,  Constables Office, County Service Agencies and Whitley County EMS.
