Alvis Curtis Paul, age 87, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born June 24, 1934 in Rockholds, KY to the late Jarvis and Betty Wilson Paul.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Emery Paul, Kenneth Paul, Elmer Paul, Jr; grandson, Travis York; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Elsie Mink.
Alvis was of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the U. S. Army, and he worked at both Ford Motor Company and National Standard. He enjoyed farming, raising flowers, traveling, and spending time with his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a Godly man who set an example of a Godly life to his children. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 year, Lois June Mink Paul of Williamsburg, KY; four children, Karen Patrick (Kenneth) of Williamsburg, KY, Tamara Bowen (Chris) of Lexington, KY, Kent Paul (Tammy) of Williamsburg, KY, Lisa Lawson (Mike) of Williamsburg, KY; brother, Layman Paul (Aileen) of Rockholds, KY; sister, Opal Widener (Charles) of Williamsburg, KY; eight grandchildren, Beth Richardson (Andy), Michaela Dixon, Dr. Casey Patrick (Alyssa), Jason Patrick (Chelsie), Josh York (Jennifer), Erica Paul, Austin Paul, and Curtis Lawson (Jenna); fifteen great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 24, at Ellison Funeral Home with Bro. Vernon Jones and Rev. James Hodge officiating. Interment will be in Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 24, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel.
Music will be provided by James Hodge, Vernon Reynolds, and Chuck Dupier.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Lawson, Austin Paul, Blake York, James York, Jason Patrick, and Josh York.
