All 50th District teams were in action again Tuesday, Jan. 24, with a pair of double headers at Corbin and Whitley County high schools.

The Corbin boys improved to 13-5 on the season, 4-1 in district play, with an 83-58 win over Williamsburg. With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fell to 9-9, 0-4.

The Corbin Lady Hounds were also victorious over Williamsburg, 62-35. This was the Corbin girls’ sixth straight win, improving them to 15-5 on the season, and a perfect 5-0 in the district. Williamsburg dropped to 7-10, 0-4.

At Whitley County, the Lady Colonels fell to South Laurel by the final score of 72-45, putting them at 5-10 on the season, 1-2 versus district opponents.

The Whitley boys managed to pull out a one-point victory over the Cardinals in overtime, 57-56, improving them to 14-6, 2-1.

The Redhounds and Lady Hounds will make the short trip to Whitley County this Friday for a double header against the Colonels and Lady Colonels, and Williamsburg is set to host a double header against South Laurel next Tuesday.
