The Corbin Board of Education will receive separate sealed bids for Soft Drinks; CHS Student Pictures & Senior Portraits; CMS Yearbook; CHS Yearbook; and External Audit Services as needed at district locations. Bid forms and specifications are available at Corbin Board of Education, 108 Roy Kidd Ave., Corbin, KY 40701, Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Questions regarding Yearbook, Student Pictures, and Audit: please contact Rhonda Moore at 606-528-1303 or rhonda.moore@corbin.kyschools.us. Questions regarding Soft Drink bid: please contact Janie Keith at 606-528-1303 or at janie.keith@corbin.kyschools.us. Bids are due and will be opened at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2026. Late bids will be returned unopened. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities.

 

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING PROJECT

The City of Corbin is accepting Sealed Proposals from qualified civil engineering firms or multidisciplinary consultant teams to develop a Comprehensive Municipal Capacity-Building Plan. Specifications may be obtained from and sealed proposals shall be submitted to the office of the City Clerk, located at Corbin City Hall, 805 South Main Street, Suite 217, Corbin, KY, 40701. City Clerk Tori Brock can be contacted at 606-528-0669 or tori.brock@corbin-ky.gov. Sealed proposals must be received in the office of the City Clerk by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Proposal openings will follow after the 3 :00 p.m. deadline at Corbin City Hall in the upstairs meeting room. The City of Corbin reserves the right to accept/reject any or all bids

SUMMONS

This summons is to the defendants named, and to any other person who may be concerned. You are notified that you have been sued in the Circuit Court of Howard County, Indiana, 104 N. Buckeye Street, #310, Kokomo, Indiana 46901 (765-456-2202), in an action entitled Scott W. Shimer, Jill C. Shimer and Cecilia Shimer v. William R. Lyons, James Derrick Lyons, and Jessica Isenberg, Cause Number 34C01-2307-CT-001758, by the persons named above as plaintiffs. This summons by publication is specifically directed to defendant William R. Lyons and to defendant James Derrick Lyons whose whereabouts are unknown.

The named plaintiffs are represented by David A. Cox, Bayliff, Harrigan, Cord, Maugans & Cox, P.C., Bar #4063-34, 319 N. Main Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901.

The nature of this suit against you is for personal injuries arising from a vehicle collision occurring in Kokomo, Indiana, on or about July 14, 2021 at the intersection of Lincoln Road and Highway 931. Plaintiffs claim injury and damages arising from the negligent driving and negligent entrustment of the defendants.

An answer or other response in writing to the Complaint must be filed either by you or your attorney within 30 days after the third notice of suit is published, and if you fail to do so, judgment by default may be rendered against you for the relief demanded by the plaintiffs.
